Warcraft Pets - Choose From A Top Ten List Or Find Your Own

Joana's Horde Leveling GuideOne fun aspect of the World of Warcraft game are the Warcraft pets. In the game you can have companions that accompany you throughout your quests. Basically, a pet is any creature that you can summon or tame. There are many varieties of pets and each kind serves a purpose. There are a few sites online that can help you navigate the world of pets and help you select the right pet for your character.

Types of Warcraft Pets

There are three basic kinds of pets in WOW. There are the combat pets that serve as companions and can help a player in battle. Usually, a warlock or hunter class character would have a pet like this. Then there are guardian pets. These pets can be summoned, but not controlled like the combat pets. They can be set to aggressive or follow and act as combat pets. Typically, death knights, shamans, balance druids, mages, and hunters have this type of pet. Finally, there are companions. These are small pets, non combat pets, follow pets, or vanity pets. They are purely for companionship and aesthetic appeal. (The animals that characters ride are called mounts and they loosely fit into the Warcraft pets category.)

Pets can have varying abilities. Combat pets for instance can be commanded to attack, follow, stay, and be aggressive or defensive. The other classes of pets can perform certain functions as well. Warcraft pets have tool bars that let you know what they can do and when. There are rare hunter pets within the game, but you will need a guide to help you because they are hard to find and hard to tame.

When you decide that you want a pet, you will need to first look to see what pets are best suited to the character you play with. It is easy to find a Warcraft pets list online that will get you started. You can find an index of pets that tells you how rare the pet is and what it can do for you. This is a great place to start when choosing a pet. Of course, you do not have to have a pet when playing WOW, but they do seem to be a good addition to any character at any level.

There is even a top ten list of Warcraft pets. They have been ranked by World of Warcraft players. The list from ten to one are: Lil' K.T., Emerald Whelping, Pandaren Monk, Specteral Tiger Cub, Stinker, Azure Whelping, Frosty, Core Hound Pup, and Phoenix Hatchling. Warcraft Pets can be a great way to expand your WOW experience. If you don't have one now it isn't too late.
